Vi-Cloud

VI-CLOUD - An art cloud for all of us - Join us and influence the conversation!

"It is not possible to live in a city and consider that one's actions are independent of the well-being of one's city. Regardless of whether we want it or not, we influence and are influenced by the city we live in".

Aren't those thoughtful words? They come from Simon Jerfström's article "Extremism in the Coffee Room" in Dala-Demokraten, which you can read here: QR. The article is about the danger of the homogenous conversations in separate coffee rooms and social media bubbles in Borlänge that can create polarization and segregation and ultimately lead to extremism. We were six creative people who read this article last spring and were inspired to investigate an artistic communication project. The question we asked ourselves was: With art, can we bridge the isolated, slanderous coffee rooms and create a SOCIAL CLOUD that is TOGETHER, INTERACTIVE and that elevates GOOD CONVERSATION? Yes, at that moment VI-CLOUD was born. The result is a pilot, a "work-in-progress", which you see here on the wall above the sign, with a vernissage on September 30th and which will be evaluated and debated at the finale on October 30th here in the library.
